All about deep dives into the latest tech trends & innovations. From AI breakthroughs to discussions on sustainable tech, my mind was buzzing with endless possibilitiesand transformative conversations!
🌐 Explored Kubernetes, Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), MongoDB, Vercel, Cognizant and checked Postman tools that are making life easier one API call at a time. Attended some practical sessions workshops where we used AWS services to build solutions to pre-defined problems. I met Eric Benz – a Solutions Architect at AWS who helped me and I learnt a lot around End user computing.
Back to the All Builders Welcome (ABW) lounge, the discussions continued and some key messages shared were around:
💬 Positive Self-Talk Magic – Your dialogue shapes your reality. As a man thinketh, so is he. Remember, the way you speak to yourself matters. 🗣️✨ We were provided with practical techniques to talk to yourself nice and thrive.
🧘 Mindful Practices – Explored breathing techniques and reframed the narrative on failure. Embracing autonomy, mastery, and learning from setbacks. Focused attention, flexible boundaries, and the “Hell Yeah or No” decision making philosophy in action. Looked at insomnia and how resting contributes to overall wellness.
🥘 ABW Luncheon
We had a special luncheon where people were randomly placed – making it conducing for networking. We met one of the AWS employees – Timothy Womack whom we interacted with and got valuable insights from. I also met Karoline Saffi from Mission Cloud – a pleasant lady whom I had interesting conversations around the tech landscape and the work they are doing at Mission.
🛍️ Certified Swag Lounge
They asked for my certification I told them I’m a certified lover boy with the Solutions Architect Certification. I bumped into Justin Cook – an AWS Ambassador with a proliferation of certifications. In my chat with him, he freely shared information, encouraging me to join community builders & be active in contributing back with the knowledge I have learnt. I received an 👕 AWS Certified T-shirt & spent the day rocking the certified swag – representing the journey of learning and growth in the tech space. hashtag#AWSreInvent
💻 AWS re:Invent Expo
The Expo doors officially opened and I spent the rest of day navigating through swag heaven! There were thousands of tech companies showcasing their work in the various tech zones: Data Zone, Security Zone, Developer Solutions Zone, Infrastructure Solution Zone. Received t shirts, stickers, socks, mugs, hoodies – name it. The conference was a treasure trove. I won a fancy, backlit, mechanical keyboard form LaunchDarkly for completing their feature flag challenge the fastest.
